The Director, Enterprise Data Management assumes a strategic role in the planning, implementation, daily operation, procedures, integrity and security of BECU’s Enterprise Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and ETL tools. This is a strategic and operational leadership role that is a critical component of BECU’s Data Strategy. The Director partners with senior leaders across BECU to deliver innovative Business Intelligence solutions for the organization.

In this job, you will

• Perform all responsibilities in accordance with BECU Competencies and Information Protection requirements.
• Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for Enterprise Data Management, collaborating with business and IT partners to ensure that the roadmap creates business value with technically sound solutions and seeking out opportunities to apply innovations to customer needs.
• Understand Enterprise Data needs and lead cross-functional teams to develop innovative and meaningful Business Intelligence solutions.
• Oversee implementation of Business Intelligence and ETL solutions across multiple projects, providing direction to the Enterprise Data Management team during project delivery and ensuring implementations support technology and business roadmaps.
• Lead a team consisting of Architects, Solution Engineers, Development and Analysts dedicated to providing Business Intelligence solutions that enable and support all levels of the organization.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring and training to develop and encourage employee performance. Meet with staff on a timely basis for the purpose of conducting performance evaluation and providing feedback..
• Perform additional duties as assigned.


• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent work or educational experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum eight years of experience within a software applications development organization or similar technology work environment required.
• Deep Business Intelligence functional expertise and leadership experiences across complex and large, data driven businesses required.
• Deep knowledge of industry best practices and standards to actively promote the effective and efficient use of Business Intelligence solutions in order to meet management objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to drive a large scale change and to act as a positive disruptor that can view opportunities versus barriers required.
• Ability to work with senior leaders in both business and Information Technology to anticipate, interpret and challenge thinking when appropriate in order to align organizational goals and resources.
• Proven ability to lead change and build teams.
• Proficient verbal and written skills to effectively communicate in the English language.
• Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary.
