The Vendor Management Analyst is responsible for conducting due diligence analysis of potential and current third-party vendors that provide services to BECU.  This person will conduct analysis of a vendor’s current and likely future financial condition, information security and business continuity policies, procedures and capability, and current performance or likely future performance in achieving the desired results. 

In this job, you will

• Perform all responsibilities in accordance with BECU Competencies and Information Protection requirements.
• Gather risk management and due diligence information from current and potential vendors.
• Perform vendor risk assessments, including analysis of a vendor’s financial condition, information security policies, procedures and practices, business continuity policies, procedures and practices, and capability to deliver desired service/ results.
• Partner with business units in developing and implementing controls to effectively mitigate the risks inherent in each vendor relationship.
• Partner with business units in tracking and documenting vendor performance, issue escalation and resolution, and reporting.
• Track and prepare reporting for leadership on status of vendor due diligence and assessment deliverables.
• Perform risk assessment and due diligence visits to vendor facilities.
• Coordinate with project managers and project teams to ensure that necessary vendor risk assessments and due diligence are scheduled and completed consistent with project plans.
• Ensure that Vendor Management policies and procedures are followed and kept up to date.
• Prepare documents and information for regulatory examinations and inquiries.
• Assist in the identification of critical vendors.
• Maintain knowledge of the financial services industry and familiarity with regulatory bodies and their associated requirements is essential.
• Maintain effective communication with all Credit Union employees to ensure coordination and exchange of information for accomplishing Credit Union goals.
• For the purpose of attaining Credit Union goals, it is the responsibility of each employee to strive for the continuous improvement of processes and quality of service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to foster effective working relationships with both internal and external business stakeholders.
• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Strong Word and Excel skills required.
• Ability to create reports, monitor and report on vendor due diligence and performance.
• Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or equivalent work or education-related experience required.
• Three to five years of experience performing vendor risk management function required.
• Experience in vendor management, research, legal analysis, and report formatting preferred.
• Advanced experience in risk assessment concepts and disciplines.
• Strong experience in negotiating with commercial and/or government entities.
