The Vice President of Finance Shared Services leads and influences successful finance transformation and change initiatives that include people, processes and systems. By driving the development and management of key programs, this role ensures efficient and integrated infrastructure solutions for organization-wide processes, systems, data architecture and other infrastructure items across Finance and all Finance touchpoints.

In this job, you will

• Perform all responsibilities in accordance with BECU Competencies, compliance, regulatory and Information Protection requirements.
• Drive the development, implementation and management of shared services programs, establishing the strategy and operational direction.
• Lead the Shared Services team, establishing goals, priorities and strategic direction. Represent the team on projects and initiatives that impact both the department and the organization as a whole.
• Act as resource to Executives and Leadership regarding financial systems and processes.
• Anticipate and analyze relevant finance/accounting trends and business developments, providing recommendations and advice to Leadership.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training within the department to develop and encourage employee performance. Meet with staff on a timely basis for the purpose of conducting personnel evaluations.
• Develop and maintain a systems roadmap of all finance systems, monitoring systems functionality and providing support for Peoplesoft, DNA and Hyperion planning systems.
• Provide oversight of design, development, testing and direction on on-going administration of finance systems capabilities.
• Drive process improvement initiatives across Finance, anticipating and ensuring development and maintenance of robust, scalable shared service capabilities (processes, systems, policies/procedures, organization and compliance) to support the company’s growth.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of the control infrastructure across Finance, including data gathering and issue management.
• Collaborate with leadership in the development of cross functional processes and structures that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and financial reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.


• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
• Certified public accountant or certified financial analyst designation preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of finance or treasury experience in a financial institution required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a management or leadership role required.
• High degree of skill in analytical reasoning and the ability to apply this skill in the identification, analysis, and conceptualization of problems required.
• High degree of skill in presenting in-depth explanations, analyses and solutions required.
• Extensive experience in documenting business processes and identifying, and implementing improvement opportunities required.
• Excellent knowledge and proven ability in change management, program management and stakeholder management required.
• Excellent leadership and negotiation skills required.
• Strong knowledge of Peoplesoft, DNA and Hyperion strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate and provide customer service.
• Full time hours required, with additional hours, as necessary.
