Summary

The Organizational Development Director provides consultation in Leadership Development, Change Management, Performance Management, Diversity and Inclusion, and Talent Development, working in partnership with human resources and client groups. This role is responsible for bringing a forward thinking, innovative, stimulating approach to these areas that helps position BECU and its employees for success now and into the future. The Organizational Development Director creates, maintains and adjusts leadership/employee development roadmaps to enhance performance, behavior and capability at individual, team, organization and enterprise levels.

In this job, you will

• Perform all responsibilities in accordance with BECU Competencies, compliance, regulatory and Information Protection requirements.
• Consults with leaders on organizational development and change management, supporting and facilitating customized strategies and solutions that drive sustainable change, achieve transformational business results and build leader/organizational capability.
• Proactively assess the organizational development needs at enterprise, division, team and individual levels and use that information to implement actions, programs and processes to effectively and efficiently address those needs.
• Provides strategic and tactical direction regarding Learning, Development and Change Management to leadership and the broader organization.
• Develops and drives change execution strategies using established common enterprise-wide organizational development & change execution frameworks and supporting tools.
• Leverages model and tools to create a common language and approach, building capability among key business staff as the work is being completed.
• Collaborating closely with Training Design and Delivery, develops meaningful, impactful development experiences that drive performance and productivity throughout various career stages and experience levels
• Collaborates with HR Business Partners and business leaders to plan and execute leadership development strategies and programs.
• Supports and advises on the design, development, purchase, facilitation, marketing, administration and evaluation of learning programs and assets (e.g., classroom training, online development resources, mobile learning, and simulations) for the enterprise.
• Builds user-friendly, effective tools, processes and resources readily available to targeted audiences (business leaders, facilitators, HR Business Partners) to support development and build capability.
• Stay current on best practices in organization development and business trends, technologies and best practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Organization Development, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or other related discipline, or equivalent work or education experience required. Advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Human Resources or Organizational Development practitioner. Proven track record of successful Organization Design, Organizational Change Management, Culture Assessment and Development and Employee Engagement solutions.
• Human resources certifications, such as SPHR or advanced leadership certifications, preferred.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
• Experience in organizational readiness and performance areas such as: communications; training and support; leadership development; and employee engagement.
• Ability to develop and implement a change strategy; complete change readiness assessments, change impact assessments, stakeholder analyses and action plans.
• Excellent communicator and presenter (verbal and written) with the ability to interface and influence executive level business leaders.
• Strong facilitation, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Strong project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience.
• Proficient verbal and written skills to effectively communicate and provide customer service required.
• Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary.
• Moderate travel required.
